These eleven posters were designed to each represent an era of history that led to modern Ukraine in response to claims by Russia that Ukrainian history doesn’t exist, and that it’s really just Russian history. This history isn’t much of a straight line but moments and eras that defined Ukrainians and the region and the tensions that led to the current conflict. This work was heavily design-focused and on a pretty short deadline for the amount of work which all led to a lot of learning and problem solving. Beyond pencil sketches, this piece was created digitally in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
