Illustrating this book cover was an assignment to use a certain visual metaphor to envelope the story into the illustration. I used a replacement metaphor of the brain and to a rabbit to represent Lenny’s compulsion in the story. This work was mixed media using a gouache ink resist to create Lenny’s silhouette and then painted the rabbit within his head digitally using Adobe Photoshop.
