Sam Lisowski was born in Ohio in 2002. He moved to Maine when he was four, which furthered his interest in nature and the outdoors. He’s always had an interest in drawing, but as time went on, his interest in games like Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, and Warhammer shifted his inspiration toward fantasy and sci-fi work.
Sam studies illustration at Maine College of Art & Design where he’ll graduate with a BFA in 2025. Post graduation, he plans to work in editorial, promotional, and any other field of illustration that will allow him to create fantastical works and build interesting worlds.
He currently still lives in Maine where he enjoys skiing, hiking, and swimming, and works seasonally during the summer for Lakes Environmental Association as a SCUBA diver removing invasive aquatic plants from Maine lakes.
