Salvation of Vahl is an assignment I made my senior year as an illustration major, with the intention of focusing on color before concept. I was assigned to thumbnail only using color and shape and let context form beyond that. After starting with the reds and blues, I was influenced to create this piece in conjunction with an exhibit I was preparing, which involved other works in the Warhammer: 40k setting. Beyond pencil sketches, this piece was created digitally in Adobe Photoshop.
